I went to an away friendly years ago at the Valley just to see Marco BOOGERS play.

I used to be a Charlton supporter but with West Ham moving to the Olympic Stadium I binned them. I will be walking to this game and will watch it for free, like I used to, standing on hill above the away stand.

Don't forget your packed lunch and tea flask, plus your rain mac and your piss soaked jeans.

Easy journey from Waterloo East.

I'll be there, a short trip for me!

If anyone wants a good recommendation of a before or after boozer then check this place out (used to be my local):

http://thevanbrugh.co.uk/

Great selection of draft beers and ale's and literally next door to Maze Hill train station (two stops back towards London from Charlton station).

Re: Charlton Athletic Away...
I've walked out of the Vanbrugh the last two times I've been in there.
They have a knack of fucking up your food.

First occasion, mrs worm had finished her meal, mine still hadn't shown up. Went up to ask about it and they told me 5 mins. 20 mins later it still hadnt arrived. It was only a fucking burger.

Second time they gave me a sunday roast with raw spuds.
Sent them back only to be given another load of raw spuds.

I wouldnt eat in there if I were you.

That's bad worm.

To be fair I've only eaten in there once and that was with Mrs L_H and it was a good experience and decent grub. I get what you're saying though, you can excuse once but twice is not on.

Usually only in there for beers to be fair and with the back beer garden (all be it small) it's nice in the summer.
